Artists

Tamara Cisneros

I've been drawing since I can remember. I have always had a creative mind and see art everywhere and in everything. I always wanted to be an animator for Disney and as a child my uncle introduced me to his friend Doug Krohn who was a Disney animator. I am always inspired by the people around me. I am drawn to the realistic side of art now and have started a series of portraits of those who inspire or have made a great impact into my life.
Artists Against Bullying to me has helped me share my passion for art and doing something good for those around me. I was born with a talent and for me it was what kept me out of trouble. Growing up and having bullies in my life and around me I was always able to express my pain and anger through my art. I learned to fight back creatively rather than physically. I started this group to show kids who have experienced bullying in their life that it's ok to be different. I want to show them to be creative, rise above the hate and be outstanding.

Krystin Jones

Krystin Jones is a feisty five footer with a huge personality and a laugh that sets off car alarms. She has been tattooing since 2006 and uses vivid colors in her unique take on the traditional American tattoo style.
Her interest in tattooing started at an early age when she started hanging around Bert Grimm’ s World Famous Tattoo Studio in ’87, which was run by her stepfather, tattoo legend Rick Walters.

Krystin has joined Artists Against Bullying  because she wants to make a difference in others lives. It's not a matter of why it's just the right thing to do.

Johnny Peso

I was born in Gardena California and lived there until I was 15 years old. Then for the next 16 years I lived in the I.E. until I joined the Marine Corps in '98. After a few years in the USMC I began my apprenticeship and have been tattooing for over 11 years. I am currently at Action Tattoo in Yorba Linda, CA.

I joined AAB to show people not to judge a book by its cover. I enjoy tattooing and my art, but most of all I enjoy sharing it with others around me.

Dakota

I'm 15 years old and I've been drawing since I could pick up a crayon. I was always the weird kid in class, but I didn't really have bad problems with bullying until I was in the third grade. I didn't ever know how to solve the problem because when I'd try to tell someone they either wouldn't do anything, or make the situation even worse than it was before. I finally realized that drawing was the only outlet I had; it was the only thing that I could do to make myself feel better. I'm almost thankful for those tough years, because now I've developed my own style at a very young age that I wouldn't have if I never had to deal with being bullied. I enjoy working with charcoals, pen, markers, and water color. I also like to collage. I love art because it helps kids like myself get through tough times when you have no one else to talk to, and it makes you feel like you're worth something.

I joined AAB because I want to help people like myself, and let them know that things will get better even if it doesn't seem like it.

Janene Neppl

My name is Janene Neppl & I grew up in Anaheim. I have been into art & writing since I was a little girl. I would sit & draw for hours as my escape from whatever I was going through as well as for fun. I struggled with self-esteem as a teen especially with my weight up & down so even one small comment made me feel inferior. I wouldn't say I was ever seriously bullied but teased here & there but my escape was creating my own art where everyone was accepted at any weight, color, shape or size. Because in the end were all beautiful & just want to be accepted. And the sooner we can accept ourselves the sooner we can accept others too.
